Acoustix is an American barbershop quartet from Dallas, Texas, established in 1990. The ensemble consists of tenor Todd Wilson, lead Rick Middaugh, baritone Jason January, and bass Joel T. Rutherford. The musicians reached wider visibility as members of the Vocal Majority chorus. The ensemble reached professional recognition in 1990 when they won the International Quartet Championship of the Barbershop Harmony Society in San Francisco six months after their formation. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording The New Science of Sound (1991). The ensemble released the studio recording Stars & Stripes (1993) followed by Jazz, Jazz, Jazz (1998) and the holiday recording Cool Yule (1999). Their discography included the studio recording O Worship the King (2002) and the compilation recording All the Best (2015). Wilson reached professional recognition as the first second-generation International Quartet Champion in the history of barbershop singing.
