Biography

Acoustic Syndicate, a roots-rock/Americana band from North Carolina, was formed in 1992, consisting of brothers Bryon McMurry and Fitzhugh McMurry, their first cousin Steve McMurry, and Jay Sanders. Acoustic Syndicate released their self-titled debut album in 1996. Known for three-part vocal harmony and complex polyrhythmic banjo playing, they have since released several albums including Tributaries (1999), Crazy Little Life (2000), Terra Firma (2003), Long Way Round (2004), and All in Time (2022). The band has toured extensively, performing at notable festivals such as Farm Aid, Jazzfest, MerleFest, and the Bonnaroo Music Festival.
