Biography

Sakib "Šako" Polumenta, born on March 27, 1968, in Bijelo Polje, Montenegro, is a Montenegrin pop-folk singer. He began his career in 1993 and initially gained popularity by singing in the Serbian Ekavian dialect, which was uncommon in Montenegro but helped him achieve wide recognition. His debut album Ej, sudbino was released in 1993, marking the start of a prolific discography that includes notable works such as "Daj Meni Grešniku" (1995) and "Od Ljubavi Oslepeo" (2000). Polumenta is known for combining pop music with traditional Balkan musical styles. He faced significant media attention following a scandal involving a relationship with a younger woman, which affected his public image. Despite this, he continued to release albums such as Heroj (2011), Sve je samo tren (2015), and collaborated with other artists like Stoja on her album Metak.
