A Sei Voci was a French vocal ensemble founded in 1977, specialising in renaissance and baroque repertoires. The group were established by Alain Zaeppfel, Rachid Safir, Régis Oudot, Bernard Fabre-Garrus, Pierre-Yves Le Maigat, and Xavier Tamalet, with their first recording being Lamentations à quatre, cinq et six voix of Cristobal de Morales in 1978. The ensemble's repertoire initially focused on the music of Josquin Desprez and Carlo Gesualdo. In 1994, A Sei Voci were awarded Ensemble Vocal of the Year at the Victoires de la Musique Classique. Notable albums include L'art Sacré De Josquin Des Prés (1985) and Gesualdo: Tenebrae responsories. Benedictus. Miserere (2007). The ensemble ceased activities in September 2011.
