41, an American hip hop trio from Brooklyn, was founded in 2022 by rappers Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter, and TaTa, who began recording together on BandLab during the pandemic. Their debut single, "41 Cypher", dropped in early 2022, quickly gaining attention with six million views on YouTube by 2024. That year, they signed with Republic Records and released "Notti Bop", a diss track about slain rapper Notti Osama. The controversial track went viral on TikTok for its associated dance, drawing both backlash and acclaim.
In 2023, 41 shifted to a more party-centric sound with their single "Bent", peaking at number 18 on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100. Their debut EP, *41 World: Not the Album", released in late 2023, solidified their success. They featured on tracks with artists like Fivio Foreign and French Montana and earned a BET Award nomination for Best New Artist in 2024.
