2ruff, a German hipâhop group founded in Hamburg in 1992, consisted of producer Simple Simon (born Simonâ¯Hesslein), rapper Lynâ¯T. (Sayonâ¯Taye), and vocalist Gioâ¯E (Giovanniâ¯Fusco). The trio entered the scene with the 1994 miniâalbum Around The Way, followed by the fullâlength Ruffskills the same year, establishing their presence on the local rap circuit. Their breakthrough came with the 1997 single "Owner of a Lonely Heart", a cover of the 1983 Yes hit, which reached number 65 on the German singles chart and remained in the Topâ¯100 for six weeks. 2ruff released several projects through the late 1990s, including "Wicked Witch" (1995), "The Lover in You" (1997), "Only You (That I Need)" (1998), and the 1999 album Natural. In 1999, they issued the single "Gunz & Roses" and in 2000, the miniâalbum Bravehearts. The group disbanded in 2000.
