Bio

Bryan has been on the air and programmed radio in New York, Los Angeles, San Diego, Denver, Baltimore and Milwaukee. He's been a part of legendary stations 91X and KGB in San Diego and hard rocking KNAC in Los Angeles. Whether it's Rock, Classic Rock, Alternative Rock, Triple A, Hard Rock, Metal, Indie Rock or any Rock...Schock knows his Rock. It's the rock music of the 70's and 80's that Bryan grew up with, so he not only has knowledge of the music, he LIVED the music. If he wasn't spending most of his time at places like Tower Records as a teen or hitting shows at the San Diego Sports Arena, he was holed up in his room armed with a turntable, an amp and 4 speakers blaring rock music as he memorized the liner notes and lyrics on the cover and inner sleeve. In his 20's Bryan's hobby became a profession as he had the opportunity to live a dream. It was in the 80's that he interviewed and was a part of helping to spread the word about some of the biggest artists of that decade on the radio. It's no wonder that Cameron Crowe's "Almost Famous" is his favorite film. "I felt like that movie was about me in so many ways." In the 90's he was rocking hard for the first half of the decade and waving the Alternative flag for the second half of it going all the way into the new millennium. In 2004 Bryan was part of a team who put the first "Jack FM" on in the US before hitting New York for a bit and then heading back home to San Diego and KGB. In 2014 Bryan relocated to Austin, Texas also known as "The Live Music Capitol of the World" where he comes to you as the voice of Classic Rock on Slacker Radio.
