Zzebra was a British fusion and afro-prog band formed in 1974, consisting of of Dave Quincy, Terry Smith, Gus Yeadon, Loughty Amao, Liam Genockey, and John McCoy. Zzebra's debut album, Zzebra, was released the same year. During the recording sessions for their first album, Yeadon left the band and was replaced by Tommy Eyre. In 1975, Alan Marshall (vocals) and Steve Byrd (guitar) joined the group as Terry Smith departed during the recordings of Panic (1975). Zzebra released several albums including Take It or Leave It in 1999 and Lost World in 2001. The band disbanded in 1976, with members like John McCoy going on to collaborate with Ian Gillan and Tommy Eyre joining the Sensational Alex Harvey Band.
