Biography

The Omnific was an Australian progressive metal and progressive rock trio from Melbourne, formed in 2016. The group was recognized for its unique instrumentation consisting of two bassists, Matt Fackrell and Toby Peterson-Stewart, and drummer Jerome Lematua, who joined in 2017. The ensemble released its debut EP, Sonorous, in November 2016. In 2017, the trio issued the single "The Cuneiform Script" and the EP Kismet. Following the 2018 single "Erin", the band performed its first headline tour in Australia. Their third EP, The Mind's Eye, appeared in May 2019, followed by an international tour with Intervals and Sithu Aye. After signing with Wild Thing Records in 2021, the group released its debut album, Escapades, which reached number 3 on the Australian AIR Charts. Their second album, The Law of Augmenting Returns, was released in 2024, followed by the 2025 single "Full Circle".
