Zurdok is a Mexican rock band from Monterrey that formed in 1993. The ensemble was founded as Zurdok Movimento by the drummer Jorge "Fletch" Sáenz and the guitarist David Izquierdo, featuring the bassist Maurizio Terracina, the guitarist Gerardo "Chetes" Garza, the vocalist Fernando Martz, and the keyboardist Gustavo "Cátsup" Hernández. They achieved professional recognition after winning the rock competition âLa Batalla de las Bandasâ in 1995. Their debut studio album, Antena (1997), featured the singles âTropecéâ, âSi Me Hablas al Revésâ, and âGallito Inglésâ. Following a name change to Zurdok, they released the studio recording Hombre Sintetizador (1999), which included the track âAbre los Ojosâ. Their discography includes the studio album Maquillaje (2001), featuring the singles âAsà Esâ and âEstáticoâ. The ensemble disbanded in 2003 but returned for reunions in 2006, 2014, and 2022. Their later work includes the box set Gran Salto (2014).
