Biography

Zoë Fox and the Rocket Clocks formed in Melbourne around 2017 as a space-pop ensemble fronted by multi-instrumentalist Zoë Fox (vocals, guitar, synth, percussion), joined by Torsten Gustavsson (guitar, synth) and Tyler Millot (bass) in their key live lineup. They launched their debut single “Fists” late in 2017, followed by “Warrior Princess” in 2018, both marking the early phase of their retro-sci-fi aesthetic and local live climb. Their debut album Clockwerks arrived in March 2020—a 12-track burst of synth-inflected disco-pop and jangly guitars—where Fox wrote all the songs and shaped the band’s songwriting identity. After a pandemic-pause, the group issued a moody, polished cover of “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” in 2021, then turned toward self-produced originals with “Flirting With Aliens” (2023).
