Biography

Zak Waters, born January 22 in Los Angeles, California, is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He began his music career as part of the pop rock group Blueskyreality, who signed to Universal Republic Records in 2008. After the group disbanded, Waters started his solo career with the release of his debut EP New Normal in 2011. His breakthrough came in 2012 when he featured on Madeon's multi-platinum single "The City", which charted at number 20 on the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart and number 16 on the UK Dance Chart. Waters released his debut studio album Lip Service in 2013, followed by the EP Now // Later in 2014. He has collaborated with various artists including Adventure Club, Alex Gaudino, and Nause. Under the stage name Pretty Sister, he released the studio album Catalina in 2021.
