Biography

One of the most important songwriters of his generation, Yves Simon (b. May 3, 1945) is also a prolific writer, celebrated by the Académie Française and the Prix Médicis. He has recorded a dozen albums since 1967 and written some thirty novels. Author of hits such as "Diabolo menthe" (the song from the film of the same name) and "Au pays des merveilles de Juliet", this songwriter didn't always get the recognition he deserved after abandoning music for writing. Nevertheless, he returned to the recording studio in 2007 with the album Rumeurs, a reminder of what a major vocal artist he remains. In 2018, the new generation pays tribute to him in Génération(s) Éperdu(e)s.
