Biography

Yves Klein Blue was an Australian indie rock band from Brisbane, formed in 2005. Named after the color International Klein Blue by Yves Klein, the group released their debut EP Draw Attention to Themselves in 2008 under Dew Process. They supported acts like Franz Ferdinand and You Am I, who performed at festivals including Big Day Out and Splendour in the Grass. Their studio album, Ragged & Ecstatic, was released in 2009 and reached number 50 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Notable songs include "Polka" and "Getting Wise", which were named in the Triple J Hottest 100 lists for 2008 and 2009, respectively. The band disbanded in 2010 due to creative differences.
