Biography
Kawaguchi Yurina (June 19, 1999) is a Japanese singer-songwriter and actress from Miyazaki. After landing a series of small roles in the dramas Good Doctor (2018), Byplayers (2018), Hinata no Sawa-chan, Naminoru! (2019), and Tokyo Planetariumï½Tanabata Koi wo Kanaeru Hoshizukiyo (2020), she jumped into the public eye by participating in the South Korean reality competition show Girls Planet 999: The Girls Saga. The show aired between August and October 2021 and its aim was to debut a 9-member K-pop girl group consisting of trainees and idols from China, Japan, and South Korea. Despite finishing in fourteenth place, Kawaguchi Yurina seized her newfound popularity and made her official music debut in 2022 with the single "Look at Me," which peaked at Number 76 on Line Music Japan's Top 100 chart.
