Choi Sung Yun (ìµì±ì¤), formerly known as Y (ìì´), is a South Korean singer and musical actor under OAK Company. Born on July 31, 1995, in Busan, he debuted on August 28, 2017, as a member of the boy group Golden Child with their first mini album Gol-Cha!, remaining active with the group until 2024. Alongside his idol career, he expanded into musical theater, notably portraying Jung Haram in the musical Midnight Sun in 2022. Following the conclusion of his contract with Woollim Entertainment and Golden Childâs effective disbandment at the end of 2024, he signed an exclusive contract with OAK Company in November 2025. Choi Sung Yun made his solo debut on December 13, 2025, with the digital single âAurora,â marking a new chapter in his career as a solo artist.
