Biography

Kang Sung-hoon (born February 22, 1980, in Seoul, South Korea) is a South Korean singer, best known as a former member of the iconic 90s boy group Sechs Kies. He debuted with Sechs Kies in 1997 under DSP Entertainment as the main vocalist, quickly becoming a prominent figure in the K-pop scene. The group gained massive popularity, but Sechs Kies disbanded in 2000 after releasing their fourth album. Following the disbandment, Sung-hoon pursued a solo career, releasing his first album Fly (2001), with the hit song "Confessions." He continued to release successful albums, including Kang Sung Hoon Vol. 2 (2002) with the popular track "My Girl." Kang Sung-hoon faced legal battles in the mid-2000s but managed to overcome them and continued his music career. In 2016, Sechs Kies reunited for a memorable performance on the variety show Infinite Challenge, marking their comeback after 16 years. Kang Sung-hoon rejoined the group under YG Entertainment, but left in early 2019 due to ongoing scandals.
