Biography
Lim Hyun-sik, also known as Hyunsik, was born on March 7, 1992, in Seoul, South Korea. He is a South Korean singer-songwriter and composer, best known as the lead singer of the boy group BtoB. Hyunsik debuted as BtoB's lead vocalist on March 21, 2012, with the single "Insane." Since then, BtoB has released three studio albums and ten EPs and in September 2016, Hyunsik joined BtoB's first unit group, BtoB Blue, releasing the singles "Stand By Me" and "When It Rains" in 2016 and 2018, respectively. In October 2019, Hyunsik ventured into solo music with the EP Rendez-vous, writing, composing, and arranging all the songs on the EP, which reached number 4 on the Korean charts. Following his solo debut, Hyunsik held a sold-out solo concert titled Rendez-vous in November 2019. He released his first live album, Rendez-vous (Live), on January 31, 2020, featuring live versions of songs from the concert. Embarking on another tour upon completion of his military service in 2021, Hyunsik returned in 2024 with his sophomore EP, The Young Man and the Deep Sea, released on February 16. The album reached number 9 on the Korean charts.
