Biography

X-Man, whose real name is Edmond-Mariette Xavier, is a French dancehall singer born on November 9, 1984 in Fort-de-France, Martinique. He grew up in the Trénelle and Terres-Sainville neighborhoods, and decided to turn the difficulties he encountered in his environment into music. He started out in various sound systems and at various local festivals on the island of Martinique. In 2003, X-Man began his real musical career as part of the RFX group with Rott Mc and Fodel, then established his reputation in the Antilles with the album Atypique in 2011, mixing dancehall and Caribbean music. Featured on numerous zouk and dancehall compilations, he rubs shoulders with established artists such as Admiral T and E.sy Kennenga. July 2014 saw the release of his second album with Saturday Night, but his notoriety increased in France thanks to his song "Madinina Kuduro" , released in 2011, which became a club hit during the summer of 2014. In 2017 his track"Validé" with Carimi mixing dancehall and kompa gave him visibility again, but it was his track "Pineco" released in 2021 featuring Natoxie that became his biggest hit accumulating 14 million streams.
