Wytch Hazel is a British hard rock and heavy metal band whose lyrics are inspired by Christian spirituality. Formed in 2011, the band's initial line-up includes singer and guitarist Colin Hendra, Josh Winnard (guitar), Neil Corkery (bass) and Aaron Hay (drums). After the release of a first self-produced EP in 2012, The Truth, and another shared with other bands, Vol. 1 (2012), Wytch Hazel experienced its first musician changes with the departures of Winnard and Hay, replaced by Matt Gatley and Jack Spencer respectively. Gatley was in turn replaced by Alex Haslam in the line-up, which recorded its debut album Prelude (2016), released on Bad Omen Records and followed by II: Sojourn (2018). The line-up evolved again, this time Corkery giving way to Andrew Shackleton on album III: Pentecost (2020), and in 2022 Hay returned alongside Hendra, Haslam and Shackleton for albums IV: Sacrament (2023) and V: Lamentations (2025).
