Biography

Miles Romans Hopcraft, born 8 January 1990 in Brixton, South London, is a British producer and musician who performs as Wu‑Lu. He began producing at thirteen, self‑releasing the debut album Ginga in 2015 and two EPs, N.A.I.S. (2018) and S.U.F.O.S. (2019). In November 2021 Warp Records signed Wu‑Lu, issuing the single "Broken Homes" followed by the studio album Loggerhead on 8 July 2022, which earned an 83/100 Metacritic average and nominations for Best Punk Record at the 2023 Libera Awards and Best Independent Album at the 2023 AIM Independent Music Awards. In April 2024 he announced the EP Learning to Swim on Empty, released 17  May  2024, featuring collaborations with poet Rohan Ayinde and author Caleb Femi. In 2026, Wu-Lu teamed up with Poison Anna on the Bakerz Dozen EP.
