WSTRN are a British music collective hailing from West London, known for their genre-blending sound that fuses Afroswing, R&B, hip-hop, and dancehall influences. Formed in 2015, the group originally consisted of cousins Akelle Charles and Haile, along with their longtime friend Louis Rei. The trio quickly rose to prominence with their debut single âIn2â, a melodic anthem that stormed the UK charts and peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart, earning them widespread acclaim and a loyal fanbase. Despite a brief setback when Akelle Charles served time in prison in 2016, WSTRN continued to release music and solidify their reputation for consistency and creativity. Projects like WSTRN Season, Vol. 1 and standout tracks such as âBenâ Ovaâ, âSharnaâ, and âMedusaâ (featuring Unknown T) have demonstrated their versatility and staying power in a rapidly evolving scene. In 2024, they followed up 2022's WSTRN Season 3 with the INHALE album, a collaborative effort with Louis Rei. The sequel, Exhale, arrived in 2025.
