Wovenwar was an American heavy metal ensemble from Southern California established in 2013. The group consisted of the musicians Shane Blay, Nick Hipa, Josh Gilbert, and Jordan Mancino. They achieved professional recognition for a musical style characterized by melodic metalcore and alternative metal. The ensemble was founded by former members of the ensemble As I Lay Dying following the arrest of the musician Tim Lambesis. Their recording career began with the debut single "All Rise" (2014) and the single "The Mason" (2014). Wovenwar achieved professional recognition for the eponymous debut studio recording Wovenwar (2014) released on the label Metal Blade Records. The recording achieved professional recognition for reaching Number 3 on the US Hard Rock charts. Their discography included the studio recording Honor Is Dead (2016). The ensemble achieved professional recognition for performing on tours with the ensemble Black Label Society and the ensemble In Flames. The group became inactive in 2018 when the members returned to performing with the ensemble As I Lay Dying.
