Woong San, born Kim Eun Young on April 18, 1973, in Republic of Korea, is a South Korean jazz singer. At 18, she spent time at a Buddhist temple and discovered her calling in music. Initially performing as a solo artist, Woong San released her first album with a jazz ensemble in 1996. By the end of 1998, she had gained recognition in both Korea and Japan. Her debut Japanese performance marked the beginning of over 500 live shows. She has since released multiple albums under Universal Music Group, including The Blues (2005). Notable collaborations include performances with Benny Green, Lonnie Plaxico, Rodney Green, Conrad Herwig, and Suzuki Hisatsugu. Woong San's work includes soundtrack contributions to films such as "Law and The City, Pt. 5" (Original Soundtrack) (2025-08-10). She has also trained Ali, a popular K-pop singer. Other albums include Yesterday (2007), Close Your Eyes (2010), I Love You (2013), I'm Alright (2018), and Who Stole the Skies (2022). In 2025, her version of the song ì°ê½ ë§ëê³ ê°ë ë°ëê°ì´ ("Like the Wind That Met with Lotus") was ranked number 6 on Korean Top 500 Melon Domestic chart.
