Biography

Allan Stewart Konigsberg, known professionally as Woody Allen, was born on November 30, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York. He began his career as a comedian and writer before transitioning into filmmaking. Allen's musical journey started with his passion for jazz, particularly the clarinet. His early work includes The Nightclub Years 1964-1968, an EP released in 2003 that showcased his stand-up comedy and musical performances. Allen's first significant album release was Wild Man Blues in 1998, which featured his clarinet playing alongside his half-sister Letty Aronson. His stand-up comedy was also compiled in The Stand-Up Years (2015). Throughout his career, Allen's work has been recognized for its unique blend of humor and jazz, making him a notable figure in both comedy and music.
