Paul Frankland, known professionally as Woob, is an English composer, ambient musician, and filmmaker. He began writing music as a teenager and later earned a master's degree in film while working as a DJ. He submitted the track "Void" to the Nottingham-based t:me recording company in the early 1990s, leading to its inclusion on the compilation album em:t 0094 and a subsequent signing with Em:t Records. He released his debut album Woob 1194 in 1994. Following the success of his first album, he contributed tracks to various compilations and released his second album Woob 2 4495 in 1995. After Em:t Records went out of business in 1998, Frankland did not release music under the Woob name between 1999 and 2009. He released the album Have Landed in 2012. He also recorded music under the pseudonyms Journeyman and Max & Harvey.
