Biography
William Pint, born December 20, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Felicia Dale, born January 1, 1958 on Vashon Island in Puget Sound, formed the folk duo William Pint & Felicia Dale. They were known for their nautical music and sea chanties. Pint began his musical career in the 1970s with the acoustic folk group Silmaril, recording Given Time or the Several Roads, later re-released as Voyage of the Icarus. He moved to Seattle in 1977, joining bands like Morrigan and Ellipsis. Dale, on the other hand, started performing professionally at 16. Between 1988 and 1991, they collaborated with Canadian performer Tom Lewis. Their debut album, Port of Dreams, was released in 1991. Subsequent notable albums include When I See Winter Return (1997), Seven Seas (2004), and Midnight on the Seas (2017). They have toured extensively in the UK, US, and Europe, receiving favorable reviews in publications like Dirty Linen magazine and Folk Roots magazine.
