The Whitehead Bros., an American R&B duo from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, consists of Kenny Whitehead and his late brother John Whitehead Jr. Formed in the mid-1980s, they emerged from a rich musical heritage, being the sons of John Whitehead, a prominent figure in the Philly Soul scene known for the hit "Ainât No Stoppinâ Us Now" with his partner Gene McFadden. The duo initially signed with Philadelphia International Records, releasing singles like "I Jumped Out My Skin" and "Stylin' & Profilin'" in 1986. However, it was their 1994 Motown release, Serious that brought them significant attention. This album featured hits such as "Your Love is a 187" and "Forget I Was a G" the latter also being featured in the soundtrack of the film Jasonâs Lyric.
