Westberlin Maskulin was a German rap group from Berlin formed in 1997 by Kool Savas and Taktloss. Their debut album Hoes, Flows, Moneytoes laid the foundation for Berlin's battle-rap culture and gangsta rap in Germany. Influenced by West Coast hip-hop, Kool Savas adapted aggressive battlerap techniques to German language. The group released their second and final album Battlekings in 2000 before announcing their separation. Westberlin Maskulin's impact on German rap has been notable; their style influenced many prominent artists such as Sido, B-Tight, Frauenarzt, King Orgasmus One, Bushido, Prinz Pi, Fler, Bass Sultan Hengzt, Eko Fresh, and Kay One.
