Biography

Wehrmacht, an American crossover thrash band from Portland, Oregon, was formed in 1985. The group initially consisted of vocalist Tito Matos, guitarists John Duffy and Marco Zorich, bassist Shann Mortimer, and drummer Brian Lehfeldt. They released five demo tapes before their debut album, Shark Attack, in 1987. This album gained underground attention but also sparked controversy due to its controversial lyrics. In 1989, Wehrmacht released their second studio album, Biērmächt, which included a song distancing the band from any Nazi or fascist ideologies. The band's 2013 live DVD, Wehrmacht Attack Los Angeles - Live at the Key Club February 23, 2013, was issued in a limited edition of 250 copies. In 2014, they released The Complete Beer-Soaked Collection 1985-1989, a compilation of their earlier work.
