Biography
Wedard is a German extreme metal band from Memmingen that formed in 2002. The ensemble was founded as a solo project by Andreas Schnell, known professionally as Sternenfrost, and is famous for a melancholic depressive black metal style focusing on nature and emotional void. They achieved professional recognition in 2003 with the release of the demo Am Anfang war es Lichtâ¦. In 2005, the group added the drummer Necro, who performed with the ensemble until 2007. Their discography includes the studio recordings Ein Leben in der Ewigkeit (2006), Einsamer Winterweg (2006), and Wo die Ewigkeit die Zeit berührt (2008). The band has released several collaborative recordings, including a split with the ensemble Ancestral (2008). In 2008, the drummer Matt âKarmageddonâ Aldrich joined the group. Their work also includes the compilation recording 10 Years of Wedard (2012).
