Biography

Lengsel, a progressive black metal band from Norway, was formed in 1995. The group released their self-titled demo in 1997 and subsequently gained attention with their debut album, Solace, in 2000, which was licensed to Solid State Records for an American release. After the success of Solace, the band took a hiatus and formed Ganglion, shifting towards a rock-oriented style. In 2006, Lengsel reunited and released their second album, The Kiss The Hope. Following this, several members continued with Extol before forming Mantric in 2007.
