Waving the Guns is a hip-hop group from Germany founded in 2012. Their first EP, Schadenfreude, was released in 2013. another EP, Fachkräftemangel, followed in 2014, before their debut album, Schlachtrufe WTG, was released in the same year. in 2015, Waving The Guns released another album, Totschlagargumente. The hip-hoppers made it into the German charts for the first time in 2017 with the follow-up Eine Hand Bricht Die Andere at number 91. With the next album Das Muss Eine Demokratie Aushalten Können (2019), Waving the Guns even reached number 22 in the German charts. another album followed in 2022 with Am Käfig Rütteln, which climbed to number 15 in Germany. The album Schwerter zu Schusswaffen followed a year later. At the end of February 2025, Waving the Guns released another album, Zwischen Wand und Tapete. The album reaches number 8 in the German charts.
