Warren Zanes, born in 1965 in Exeter, New Hampshire, is an American musician and writer. He started his music career at 17 as a guitarist for The Del Fuegos, signing to Slash Records that year. The band toured with acts like X, ZZ Top, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and INXS. Zanes left the group and returned to music while writing his Ph.D. dissertation, releasing his solo debut Memory Girls (2003) under Dualtone. His subsequent albums include People That I'm Wrong For (2005) and The Biggest Bankrupt City in the World (2017). In 2019, he joined poet Paul Muldoon's Rogue Oliphant and co-wrote several songs with him.
