Biography

Vision Divine is an Italian power and progressive metal band from Massa formed in 1998 by guitarist Olaf Thörsen. The founding lineup featured vocalist Fabio Lione, with whom they released their eponymous debut studio album, Vision Divine (1999). They performed a sold-out tour of South America in 2000 before releasing the studio recording Send Me an Angel (2002). The ensemble underwent several lineup changes, including the addition of keyboardist Oleg Smirnoff in 2002 and vocalist Michele Luppi in 2003. Their studio recording The Perfect Machine (2005) was produced by Timo Tolkki and became a top-selling release for Scarlet Records. Their discography includes the studio albums 9 Degrees West of the Moon (2009) and Destination Set to Nowhere (2012). Lione and Luppi have each departed and rejoined the group at various points. Their recordings include When All the Heroes Are Dead (2019) and Blood and Angels' Tears (2024), and A Clockwork Reverie (2026).
