Virginia Minnetti, born on â¯July⯠1, 1949, in Canzo, Italy, began singing as Virginia Minnetti in 1968 and later performed with her husband in the duo Renzoâ¯& Virginia Minnetti. In 1979 she adopted the stage name Viola Valentino. The single "Comprami" sparked controversy and achieved commercial success in Italy and Spain. She released the album Cinema in 1980, followed by Inâ¯Primoâ¯Piano in 1982, and participated in the Festival di Sanremo with "Romantici" that same year. Subsequent releases included Esisto (1994), Ilâ¯Viaggio (1998), and Madeâ¯inâ¯Virginia (2004). Viola Valentino also appeared in films such as Delittoâ¯sull'autostrada (1982) and Leâ¯volpiâ¯dellaâ¯notte (1986). She later joined the reality show Musicfarm in 2006. Viola Valentino continued performing and recording throughout the 2010s and 2020s, releasing albums like Rose e Chanel (2013), Semplicemente... "io" (2015), E sarà per sempre (2020), and Gratis (2023).
