Biography

Marco Antonio Armenise, known professionally as Marco Armani, was born on June 14, 1961, in Italy, and is an Italian singer-songwriter and composer. He began his music career while studying at the Conservatory of Bari, debuting as a singer on Domenica In with the song Domani in 1982. His breakthrough came the following year when he participated in the Sanremo Music Festival with "È la vita", ranking tenth. Armani went on to release several albums, including Le cose che vanno lontano (1985), Molti volti (1987), and Posso pensare a te? (1991). His most successful song, "Solo con l'anima mia", reached number 25 on the Italian hit parade. Armani participated in the Sanremo Festival four more times between 1984 and 1994. In 2017, his song "È la vita" was featured on the original motion picture soundtrack for Call Me by Your Name.
