Biography
Brothers Alessandro and Andrea Vinai began their electronic music duo, Vinai, in 2011 after each had been pursuing DJ and music production careers. Their initial singles in 2013, âHandâs Upâ and âBulletâ got some attention, but their breakthough came in 2014 after signing with Spinninâ Records. Their first single on that label, âRaveologyâ, a collaboration with DVBBS, became a top 40 hit in Belgium. The follow up, âBounce Generationâ, with TJR, also charted, but topped out in the 60s. Their collaboration with R3hab, âHow We Partyâ gave them a taste of international success when it broke into the top 40 on the U.S. Dance chart. 2015âs âLouderâ with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike stalled just outside the top 40 in Belgium. They continued to perform around the world at various EDM festivals and spent the rest of the decade remixing hits and releasing singles with a variety of collaborators like 2016âs âLITâ with Oily James, 2017âs âTake My Breath Awayâ with 22Bullets and Donna Lugassy, 2018âs âEverything I Needâ with Redfoo, 2019âs â5AMâ with Aly Ryan, and 2020âs âI Was Madeâ with Le Pedre.
