Biography

Members of the Canadian band Women, singer and bassist Matt Flegel and drummer Mike Wallace opted for the baptismal name Viet Cong when they hired guitarists Daniel Christiansen and Scott Munro. The quartet, reunited in 2012, recorded their first self-produced EP on cassette, later distributed on vinyl under the title Cassette, before signing with the Jagjaguwar label for a wider audience that raved about their homonymous debut album released in January 2015.
