Biography

Victor Calderone, born March 20, 1967, in Brooklyn, New York, is an American electronic music producer, DJ, and remixer. Introduced to nightlife by his older brother Cesar, Calderone began experimenting with turntables at 15. In 1991, he signed with Sire Records as part of the techno act Program 2, which disbanded shortly after their first album. Calderone later released his solo record "Give It Up" in 1997. His breakthrough came in 2001 with "Are You Satisfied?," featuring Deborah Cooper. Calderone held residencies at venues including the Roxy in New York and Liquid in Miami Beach. He began working with Madonna in 1998, remixing "Frozen" from her Ray of Light album and subsequently eleven other singles such as "Ray of Light," "Beautiful Stranger," and "Die Another Day." He also remixed Sting’s "Desert Rose" from the 1999 Brand New Day album. Calderone collaborated with house producers including Mac Quayle and Peter Rauhofer (as The Collaboration). In 2005, he established his Evolve brand, known for global residencies and innovative DJ sets. His albums include E=VC² (1999), E=VC², Vol. 2 (2001), Resonate (2003), and Evolve (2007).
