Biography

Vetamadre, an Argentine alternative rock band from Buenos Aires, was formed in 1985. The original lineup included Federico Colella on drums, Marcelo Monte on bass, Marcos Ribot on vocals, Martín Dejean on keyboards, Miguel Andreux on guitar, and Omar Possemato on percussion. In 1996, Julio Breshnev joined as the lead vocalist, replacing Marcos Ribot. This change marked a significant shift in the band's artistic direction. The group initially released several demos before releasing their first official album Ruido del mundo in 1999. Notable songs include "Ruido del mundo" and "Nada el tiempo". In 2002, Vetamadre released their second album Libérenme, which featured the single "Ser humano". Subsequent releases include Veratravés (2004), Vientre (2006), and Otro Viaje (2010).
