Biography

Very Be Careful, also known as “VBC”, is a vallenato and cumbia band from Los Angeles, California, established in 1998. It was founded by accordionist Ricardo Guzman and his brother, bassist Arturo Guzman. The group’s lineup includes Richard Panta on caja vallenata, Craig Martín on guacharaca, and Dante Ruiz on cowbell. Its debut studio album, El Niño, was released in 1998. The group's discography consists of several independent releases that blend traditional covers with original material, including The Rose (2001), El Grizz (2002), Ñacas (2005), and Salad Buey (2007). In 2010, the band released the album Escape Room, followed by its seventh studio album, ¿Remember Me from the Party?, in 2012. The band has performed at major international events, including the Fuji Rock Festival in Japan in 2005 and the Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom. In 2006, Guzman and the ensemble completed a tour of Europe. The group's studio recording, Daisy's Beauty Salon, was published in 2018 through the label Downtown Pijao.
