Aldous Byron Valensia Clarkson, known professionally as Valensia, was born on April 13, 1971, in The Hague, Netherlands. He is a Dutch singer who began his musical journey at a young age, influenced by artists such as Queen and Kate Bush. Valensia's breakthrough came in 1993 with the release of his debut single "Gaia", which reached Number 2 in the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 50. His debut album, Valensia, was released shortly after and sold over a million copies worldwide. The album featured collaborations with Robby Valentine and was produced by John Sonneveld and Pim Koopman. Throughout the 1990s, Valensia released several albums including, Kosmos/Valensia II (1996) and Valensia '98/Valensia III (1998). He gained significant popularity in Japan.
