Laetitia Tamko, known professionally as Vagabon, was born on October 25, 1992, in Yaoundé, Cameroon. She moved to New York City at age 13 and lived in Harlem, the Bronx, and later Westchester County, where she attended high school. After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from City College of New York in 2015, Tamko embarked on her first U.S. tour and performed frequently in Brooklyn's indie and punk rock scene. In February 2017, Vagabon released her debut album Infinite Worlds through Father/Daughter Records, which allowed her to transition into full-time music. She opened for Courtney Barnett and Julien Baker during their North American tours that year. Her second studio album, initially titled All the Women in Me and later released as Vagabon, came out in October 2019 under Nonesuch Records. In 2023, Vagabon released her third album, Sorry I Havenât Called.
