Kang Yoo-hyeon, born on January 17, 1988, is a Korean jazz pianist and singer-songwriter, better known as U.BAR.E.. She formed the indie band Ubare's Picnic in 2009 and also performs as a solo artist. Her music is characterized by distinctive lyrics and fresh arrangements. Since 2015, she studied jazz (Le Chant Jazz) at the Conservatoire Bourg La Reine in France and has been active across Europe, including France, the UK, Germany, and Egypt, as a jazz vocalist. She produces music across various genres such as children's music and jazz pop. Her main debut as a solo artist was with the single "What Is Happiness?" in 2018. She has released one full album, three EPs, and eleven singles, and has also participated in OST projects. Her single "As The Baby Sleeps," released on July 7, 2025, entered Melonâs Top 500 chart at number 15 on the day of its release.
