Biography

Two Tons of Steel are an American rockabilly and Texas country band from San Antonio, Texas, formed in the early 1990s. They debuted with the 1993 EP Two Tons of Steel and followed with Oh No! (1994) and Crazy for My Baby (1995). Their breakthrough came with the 1999 single "King of a One Horse Town", later featured in a roots‑country documentary at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame. The band released albums such as Ten Dollar Cover (1997), Transparent (2001), Vegas (2004), Live from Gruene Hall (2005), Not That Lucky (2010), Tangled in Tinsel (2012), Unraveled (2013), and Gone (2016).
