Biography

Ukrainian electronic pop group Tvorchi (which translates as "creative") comprises producer Andrii Viktorovych Hutsuliak and Nigerian singer Jimoh Augustus Kehinde aka Jeffery Kenny. The duo formed in 2017 in Ternopil after meeting as students at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Ternopil National Medical University and released their debut album, The Parts, the following year. Disco Lights arrived in 2019 and they entered the preselections for the Eurovision Song Contest in 2020 with the song "Bonfire," placing fourth, and dropping their third album, 13 Waves in September 2020. That December, they won the online music award Culture Ukraine in two categories: Best New Artist, and Best English-language single for "Bonfire". They were also nominated for the YUNA 2021 Music Awards in four categories, including Album of the Year. Following the release of Road (2021), they were catapuled into the spotlight thanks to "Heart of Steel," which won the pair the vote to represent Ukraine in the 2023 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, where they ranked 6th. "Heart of Steel” went to number five in Ukraine on the TopHit Airplay Charts and number 95 in the UK.
