Biography
Trwbador, a Welsh musical duo consisting of Owain Gwilym and Angharad Van Rijswijk, formed in 2010 while studying at Newport University. The group released two home-recorded EPs, It Snowed A Lot This Year (2010) and Sun in the Winter (2011), through their own label Owlet Music. Their track "Off-Beat" was featured on BBC Radio Wales DJ Adam Walton's tracks of the year, and "Sun in the Winter" was played by Huw Stephens on his BBC Radio 1 show. This exposure led to an invitation to perform at the London 2012 Olympics. In 2013, Trwbador released their self-titled debut album, which received positive reviews including a four-star review from Q Magazine and was shortlisted for the Welsh Music Prize. The duo's second album, Several Wolves (2014), featured collaborations with London rapper Esaa on "Breakthrough" and Richard James on "Blue Minds". Trwbador disbanded in September 2015.
