Biography

Rails-Tereo is a solo unit by Japanese male keyboardist and vocalist Hiroshi Morikawa. Influenced by his mother, a Koto and Shamisen player, he started learning piano at the age of 3, and began writing lyrics in junior high school. In high school, he made demo tapes by recording at home, and after entering a music college, he decided to become a professional musician after his songs were introduced on a radio program by Sugashicao. Lights" caught the attention of music professionals, and in March 2012 he released his national debut album "Pop Sings Pop Things", followed by his second album "Piano Pop Life" in April 2013, and his first single "JULY" was released for distribution in September. Subsequent releases include a third album, "Golden Pop Lion," in 2014, a narrative-style mini-album, "Basics," in 2016, and a fourth album, "Paradigm," in 2018. 2021 saw the release of their best album, "This is." His fifth album "yy/mm/dd" in 2023, released after the Corona Disaster, was rearranged and released again in July 2025 as a narrative version, "Ura yy/mm/dd".
