Antonio de la Cuesta, known professionally as Tonino Carotone, was born on January 9, 1970, in Burgos, Spain. He spent his childhood and youth in Barañáin and Pamplona, Navarra. Before embarking on a solo career, he was part of the folk-ranchero group Kojón Prieto y los Huajolotes, known for their humorous and politically charged songs. Carotone's breakthrough came with the release of his debut album Mondo Difficile in 2000. The album featured the hit single "Me Cago En El Amor", which gained significant popularity in Italy. In 2003, he released Senza Ritorno, another notable work that included the track "Un Ragazzo Di Strada". Carotone also collaborated with Arpioni on two songs for their 2005 album Malacabeza. His subsequent albums include Ciao Mortali! in 2008.
